Tag of love...

I have combined the love quote challenge of CBH and the tag sketch for TYI this week and created this piece below. I used a swirl template to draw the background tag and added water to bleed the colour, edging the tag in maroon chalk eye. I then layered the ribbon, punched hearts and the Love quote.

Tagging an Arch...

I love the colour purple and the theme of 'Tag your Arch' for Gothic Arches combined so well with the theme of 'Purple' over at TYI that I combined both to create this piece. The background is created on purple card with a range of images stamped in purple and cherry Stazon. Then the stamped tag and wording was layered on top with mount pads to raise them off the surface.

I made sure I was all tucked up and cosy this evening to create this piece - the weather has turned arctic again, with the snow front from Russia finally hitting us!! There is an even layer of snow all around, and I am hoping that it either stops so that I can get to work tomorrow safely, or that it keeps snowing hard, lays thick and I get a snow day!!! Here's looking forward to a winter wonderland at 6.30am tomorrow morning....

It's All In The Numbers

Numbers is the theme over at TYI this week and I created this tag using a stamp from Paper Artsy, Prima Flowers and some odds and ends of papers I had.

Brown & Aqua

are two of my favourite colours and they work so well together. This is my tag for TYI this week. I used patterned papers and stamped the flourish onto the aqua sheet, cut it out and applied to the tag. I then added aqua and brown flowers, button, stickles and ribbon to embellish. Hope you like it!

Triangles...

are a popular shape this week, and I have created a triangular tag with triangular shaped trees on top for CBH and TYI. I cut the different sized shapes and chalked the edges with a dark blue to make them feel like a dark winter night, then added glamour dust to highlight the patterns and images on the papers used. I added the trees with foam pads to raise them off the surface at different heights.

Red and Green Christmas Tag

As time seems tobe very short for creating this week, I have combined the theme of red & green over at TYI with the Christmas tag one over at CBH. I love this reindeer stamp and used olive green stazon to stamp it onto cream card, I then used my markers to add colour and a water brush to blend it and fade the green out. I cut a decorative edge and chalked in red. All of which I then mounted on a further piece of cream, chalked the edge green and added a red ribbon at the top. Hope you like the end result...

Tic Toc

Time and all things related is the theme over at Tag, You're It! I love using elements of time in my work, even though I never seem to have enough of it to do all that I want to!

The background was created by painting the background with acylic paint and laying cling film over the top, you get a great texture. I then stamped the large clock on top in copper acrylic. Once dry I then stamped clock hands, the phrase Time Flies and a few pocket watched over the top and rubbed them off the acryic clock so they appear faded. To finish I chalked the edges and added ribbon.

I started this tag at Scrapbook Sisters and just completed it as it fit nicely with the theme - if you have not visited their site go take a look, they have a great online shop and blog full of inspiration, they also hold some great classes for both beginners and the more advanced crafters. Penultimate Halloween

The haunting hour is over and challenges around the theme of halloween are coming to an end for this year. Here is my entry for OPH and Tag You're It! this week. I created the tag by stamping the images and then adding some gold pen around the edge and to the cat, BOO is in black glitter chipboard and highlighted around the edges in gold.

I hope you all had a fantastic Halloween, plenty of fun to go around!!

Christmas Trees Already???

Tag You're It! asked for tags that included a christmas tree this week. We have not even had Halloween or Bonfire Night yet, and already it is on to Christmas. Many people have also started Christmas cards and gifts too - still a little early for me though! Anyway, here is my tag created by chalking the background in two shades of green, stamping my tree in cherry red Stazon, adding stickles and eyelets and finishing with red and green yarn.

Thank goodness it is Friday at last, my school holidays have started, one week to get caught up on sleep, housework, tasks that really need seeing to and have just been put to one side for far too long, oh and of course that mountain of school work - marking, catch-up day with students in school, and clearing my classroom ready for next term - did I say sleep? I might not get any more of that looking at this list!!

Pink, Green & Brown

Were the colours chosen by Tag You're It! this week. This is the tag i created using as the background a patterned paper offcut in pinks and greens. I added the ribbon and punched the dress three times and layered them to create a full skirt look and then punched the butterflies from old book pages and chalked them to fit the colour scheme and finished by adding some pink stickles for detail.

All was quiet on the Western Front today - Hugo must have found other things to amuse himself today, all items stayed safely on the table today - I will probably find something astray on my weekly clear up on Sat!

Journey

The Created Byhand Challenge is Journey - I made this tag using the theme as my insipiration. I created the background using a selection of travel stamps, an ink splatter stamp and Tattered Angels misting spray. I then layered on top stamped suitcases, a Journey stamp, and a compass, finished off with some raffia and ribbon, red gems and glossy accents on the compass:
