Chat Noir

I have the most adorable, handsome all black cat - he is a real character, never a dull moment! The Black is Back challenge by This Thurs its all about...... was a good opportunity to do a layout using him as the focus.
I printed the photo first and mounted it up on a red patterend paper. This then allowed me to see what space I had left for the rest of the layout. I decised to use Black UTEE and wiped my Versamark pad over a sction of the black cardstock over on the left-hand side. I put four layers of UTEE on and then while hot pushed my Chat Noir stamp from Cherry Pie Arts into it. I then used a paw stamp from Stamps Away and embossed them using black emobssing powder. I like using the same colour EP as the background, it makes it look 'wet' as if the cat has just walked in from outside and is leaving messy prints in its wake! You could also use clear EP to get a similar effect. I stuck the photo back on last of all, just to make sure I did not warp it while using the heat gun - I've learnt my lesson doing that before!

A very simple LO but it makes a beautiful page and the picture really pops from the page.

Your card is beautiful, and so is your cat! I love the "wet" little paws around the card!!

Love the simple black on black embellishment of your page. Great layout. Shame it was late Thanks for showing us though
