Observations

Week 18: Observations, at Journal 52. I like the idea of this prompt as it is open to so many interpretations. I chose to base mine around a quote I love: If nothing ever changed, there would be no butterflies. To create this I started with a tissue paper collaged background and a thin layer of blue paint on top. I then spritzed some distress stain over the top in pinks, yellows, blues and gold. Stamped butterflies and a cage on top then stamped the butterflies in acetate too.

I chose to stamp out the quote on white paper and embellish with some punched leaves and butterflies, adding a few gems as a finishing touch. Then added some splats of blue on top to blend in with the background better.
