New Mail Art Challenge Blog...

Wow! 2 years since my last blog post - Doesn't time just fly........

Time to get creative again for more than just my job, so here's introducing a new challenge for Ladies That Craft.

Mail Art.

This month: Halloween.

The idea is to create a piece of artwork on an envelope, with the theme of Halloween, then send it in to Ladies That Craft. At the end of the challenge all entries will be looked at and a winner chosen to receive all the delicious pieces of artwork.

I was asked to be one of the designers for this challenge, so to give you an idea of what you could win take a peek......

Here is the front of my envelope, decorated with the seasonal distress inks using an Andy Skinner stencil for the large skull, then stamps for the witch and haunted house. I drew the skulls along the top and the pumpkin in the top corner. The orange brick down the right hand side is washi tape and all finished off with a skelton to sit on the pumpkin cut from a Quickutz die. There is some distress glitter on the moon behind the witch and on the 'BOO' to add a bit of glitz and texture.

The reverse of my envelope is just as decorated - well, I couldn't leave it blank now could I! I stamped the background with a cat, tree and spiders web, then cut the skeleton again and stamped the sign for him to pose around. This is all distressed with the seasonal distress inks again and finished with some chevron washi tape and a punched row of pumpkins along the bottom.

Finally the stamp added to send it all off in the mail. Hope it gets there!

Why not get creative and have a go, its a lot of fun and really doesn't take that long to create. You could win this design plus lots of others....

Find all the details of the challenge at The Mail Art Challenge Blog and on  Julie's Blog. Have fun getting creative.... Xxx
